Produkty Pitania Company, Russia’s largest producer of frozen foods under Zolotoy Petushok and Domashnaya Skazka trademarks, announced the launch of elite ready-to-eat lunches on the Russian market. The development, production and distribution of these products will be carried out in cooperation with one of Croatia’s most ancient and popular hotels: Palace Hotel Zagreb.

The joint international project will feature selling six ready-to-eat European courses in Russia:

·        Stuffed squids with gravy and corn biscuits, 470 g;

·        Beef roll in spicy sauce with fettucini, 420 g;

·        Stuffed chicken breast with gravy soufflé vegetables, 420 g;

·        Veal escalope with fettucini with truffle gravy, 430 g;

·        Pork escalope with gravy and rice, 370 g;

·        Hunter style rump steak with dumplings, 370 g.

Zolotoy Petushok will serve as the umbrella brand for the new Delicacy product line by Produkty Pitania in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. This project is implemented jointly with the prestigious Croatian hotel Palace Hotel Zagreb and it is another step of the producer towards better diversification of its product portfolio that takes the company into the new business area of delivering products in the premium price segment. It is noteworthy that the major producer of frozen convenience chicken meat foods is launching production of complex recipes based on other types of raw materials including veal, turkey, pork and squid.

At the initial stage of cooperation the company will test its complex recipe production capability in Croatia using advice of Palace Hotel Zagreb’s chef Ivica Shtruml, who was recognized as the country’s best chef in 2002-2003. The new complex recipe products will be produced using hand labor, which will determine exclusive production quantities. Instant freezing technology ensures absence of preservatives and artificial dyes. Following the production tests, production of all of the new products will be launched at the company’s production plant in Kaliningrad. Presently the company is preparing for integrating these unique recipes in its production processes.

Distribution and promotion of extra-premium products will be very different from distribution and promotion of major product categories branded under Zolotoy Petushok trademark. The new products’ target focus will be Moscow and Saint Petersburg markets. At the same time the owners of these new products are convinced that such recipes will be in demand in million cities in other regions of the country as well. Major distribution channels for elite lunches will be HORECA companies (that offer private and corporate catering services, including average plus category of restaurants), and upper price segment retail networks. The program of promoting the novelties will include an advertising campaign and a series of presentations and tasting sessions for potential partners. The first presentation of the new products took place on June 13, 2007 in Croatia.

These one-serving products of the new range are delivered in consumer-convenient 370-470 g packages. The outer carton box package hosts special vacuum plastic bags containing meat products, sauces and garnish. These products will be available at Moscow’s retail outlets late in June 2007.

Produkty Pitania Vice-President Damir Imamovic noted: «Our company continues its progress towards more complex recipes of the products we offer to our customers. Relying on best international practices we offer restaurant meals that suit both public catering organizations and final consumers who prefer to enjoy topmost quality products. Delicacy line of Zolotoy Petushok products may become a token for a successful family chef or a restaurant because we achieved the new taste quality with these new products. Indeed, classical European cuisine recipes are easy to cook in 15-20 minutes regardless of professional abilities of the cook.
