Produkty Pitania Company launches production operations at its testing facility Baltmukomol

Produkty Pitania Company, Russia’s major producer of frozen products under its Zolotoy Petushok and Domashnaya Skazka trademarks, announced the purchase of production equipment for its testing production facility Baltmukomol, which is located at the Company’s production plant in Kaliningrad specializing in testing production.

Presently the second lasagna line I being installed at the production units of the company to meet the high consumer demand for the product.

In addition, test runs at Baltmukomol produce dough products with fillings (croissants, patties, pizzas etc). Italian specialists participate in improving product recipes, refining the range of products and training of personnel.

In 2003 Produkty Pitania Company acquired three production shops from Baltmukomol with total floor area of 3826 m2. Since the acquisition $2.4 million was invested in restoration of production areas and in new equipment for the plant. Produkty Pitania Company regards this facility as a testing plant for bakery production and intends to organize test runs to produce the entire range of dough products to be later on permanently produced at the new plant in Gusev, Kaliningrad region.

According to Damir Imamovic, Vice-President of Produkty Pitania Company, «Production capacity and output at Baltmukomol make this project a comprehensive plant while in reality it remains an experimental ground, a kind of a production lab where we test production of new goods. Further on we are planning to use this plant in the process of increasing the output of ready-to-eat lunches and dough products with fillings».

Vice-president of the company also emphasized: «Dough products from Baltmukomol are some of the most demanded products on the Russian market. Presently our company has a unique opportunity to make a large step forward in launching production of such goods and offering them to the market. Today we already offer to consumers the new products, which we expect to penetrate the market and become an important part of the menus of Russian megapolis population».
