Produkty Pitania Company will put a new factory into operation

In spring 2005 Produkty Pitania Company will launch a convenience foods plant in Kaliningrad with its $35 million investment, says company President Stefano Vlahovich. Predicted production capacity of the new facility will exceed 600 tons of products a day.

Now the company operates a Kaliningrad-based facility comprised of three industrial shops their area totaling 7 thousand square meters and production capacity amounting to 340 tons a day.

The new plant will produce convenience foods from both poultry and other kinds of natural components.

Stefano Vlahovich emphasized that the company experiences no difficulties in funding the project.

The project is funded by the company’s own money and bank credit funds. This year Produkty Pitania Company received a credit of $50 million from the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and from a number of Russian banks.

Meanwhile, Produkty Pitania Company announced the launch of the new product category under Zolotoy Petushok trademark that covers convenience products with stuffing such as balls stuffed with cheese and ham or cheese and greens Cordon Blue in breading.

Produkty Pitania Company was founded in 1994 and European Bank of Reconstruction and Development is one of its shareholders.
