Produkty Pitania President talks about specific features of managing a business in Russia based in the enclave of Kaliningrad

Stefano Vlahovic, president, led a tour of the plant for journalists to talk about his company.

Initially he worked in the foods business as an importer, but gradually he came to the understanding that greater profit could be generated through setting up production in the importing country. The efforts of his team were successful and today his well-established company operates in Russia and pursues further expansion of its production premises.

Currently the company is building a newer and larger production facility. This facility will be the world’s largest convenience foods manufacturer! It will be capable of producing 600 tons of product a day, while also being in compliance with the world’s strictest EU standards.

Mr. Vlahovic also spoke of the administrative barriers the company currently faces by being based in Russia.  He noted the excessive amount of approvals businessmen have to obtain from authorities at different levels in order to keep their business running and expanding. He believes that many of these barriers are unjust.

As for the positive effect of the company’s operations on local communities in Kaliningrad, Mr.Vlahovic stated that his large company’s presence in the region, substantially contributes to the development of collateral industries and gives relevant infrastructure long with an emergence of new workplaces.

Working in Russia is interesting to Mr. Vlahovic, because his company introduces innovations including snacks, which used to virtually not exist in the vast country of Russia. The company encompasses a very professional team of managers and employees, whom are very serious about their work. Every single employee or manager of the company understands the need to assume his or her share of responsibility for the quality of the products.

Mr. Vlahovic is sure that foods delivered by Produkty Pitania will be at an even greater demand, due to an ever-increasing market share of working women in Russia. These quick and convient products will help such households by reducing cooking time. “We understand the nutrition preferences of Russia,” Produkty Pitania president says.
