Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian President visited Produkty Pitania

As Kaliningrad celebrated its 750^th anniversary and all of its residents were having fun and taking some rest, highly positioned official guests attended a number of meetings. On July 3 the Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian President in North-West Federal District Ilya Klebanov attended one of the region’s most advanced plants – Produkty Pitania, a company whose production facilities  were built using large foreign investments.

President of Produkty Pitania Company Stefano Vlahovic personally led a tour of the plant. He shared several tips for the company’s financial well being with Ilya Klebanov. These top-secret tips have enabled him to become the major Russian convenience foods manufacturer, and have furthered allowed him to retain the company’s market leadership in delivering poultry-based groceries even despite strong competition. Stefano Vlahovic talked about the high capacity of the plant and proudly showed the guests operating workshops. A very special part of the meeting was a visit to the fourth workshop that will be launched in September 2005. When the plant is fully opened the total production capacity of the entire plant will amount to 600 tons a day.

Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian President in North-West Federal District was generally satisfied with his visit, but provided no specific comments. Ilya Klebanov and Stefano Vlahovic touched upon important issues relating to the way foreign investors operate in Kaliningrad region and both all parties agreed that foreign investments is beneficial for the region and its residents
