Produkty Pitania Company invests $4 million in restyling its Zolotoy Petushok trademark

Moscow. September 28. INTERFAX – Produkty Pitania Company, one of Russia’s major manufacturers of frozen chicken convenience foods, invested $4 million in restyling its Zolotoy Petushok trademark, Tea Grguric, Produkty Pitania’s Vice-President for Marketing, recently announced.

According to Grguric, this step will help the company boost brand sales by 20%, thereby retaining its leading market position and high sales growth rates; expanding its market presence; and further enhancing its competitive advantages.

 Produkty Pitania Company was founded in 1994 to import chicken products from the US and Europe. In 1998, the company set up its own production facilities in Russia. EBRD is one of the company’s major stockholders with 27.5% of its shares.  Today, Produkty Pitania operates three plants in Kaliningrad, totaling 7,000 square meters and producing up to 340 tons of product a day. In 2005, the company plans to introduce its fourth facility, which will cost about $35 million and produce up to 600 tons a day. During the first half of 2005, the company delivered 44,500 tons of product.  These figures exceed last year’s outputs for the same period by 41%
