ТPC “Baltpticeprom” started construction of the poultry cluster in Pgt. A. Kosmodemjanskogo, Kaliningrad region in an area of 30 hectares: 21 poultry farms for 6,5 million heads are expected to be launched in October, 2015.

The production capacity of the potential plant will be up to 10 thousand tons of poultry meat per year.

“Produkty Pitania”  which includes “Baltpticeprom” plans realization of two more similar projects. Stefano Vlahovic, president of “Produkty Pitania” Company Group, says:

“Every Kaliningrad citizen consumes about 30 kg of chicken per year. It is the most significant product for the region. We hope to meet the needs of population as well as industrial processors.”

Nikolai Tsukanov, the head of the Kaliningrad region agrees with the president:

 “It is the main product for population of the Kaliningrad region and it used to be available.”

“After the imposition of sanctions many plants were forced to cut down production, whereas prices went up. Our own production will help us to be independent of many actions in Europe”, - Kaliningrad region governor Nikolai Tsukanov deems.

After laying foundation bricks of the prospective cluster, the governor of the Kaliningrad region, accompanied by the president of “Produkty Pitania” visited fish farm at ТPC “Baltpticeprom”. It is planned to increase production volumes of this plant to 6 thousand tons per year soon.
